Description
PG&E's Alto Substation seen from across Pickleweed Inlet from the Mill Valley - Sausalito Multiuse Pathway. Trees that had screened this equipment from view were cut down just a couple weeks before a planned Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) in response to a high wind event. This PSPS lasted, in most of Marin, beween October 26 and 29, 2019. (For photos taken slightly later see 2016.015.787 and 2016.015.788. For photo of this area taken in mid 20th century see MVU2059.)
