Description
Sherman Day at mouth of the Main Tunnel at New Almaden, Calif. Day was a graduate of Yale's school of engineering. He served as the mine superintendent and surveyor between 1856 and 1858, and again from 1863 to 1865. This is a reproduction of a stereograph by Carleton Watkins.
