Photograph caption date stamped January 28, 1965 reads, "Steve Green, left, and Dave Swartz tune up for Valley State's key CCAA basketball game with San Diego State tonight at 8 p.m. in the Matadors gym. Although the speedy guards don't start, coach Jerry Ball uses them frequently during the game."
