Photograph was edited for publication purposes; Title supplied by cataloger. Leon Ames and his wife of 55 years, Christine Gossett, made their home at 12245 Viewcrest Road in Studio City. Ames is best known for his work on movies such as, 'The Postman Always Rings Twice' and 'Meet Me in St. Louis,' as well as his work on a number of television shows including, 'Life with Father' and 'Mr. Ed.' Ames was also one of the founders of the Screen Actors Guild and served as the organization's president in 1957. Photograph dated January 27, 1954 shows actor Leon Ames and wife, Christine Gossett, relaxing poolside with their dogs in the backyard of their Studio City home.
