Description
This 1924 photograph shows the Frederick Foto Service at 916 Seventh St. It was founded by Harley W. Frederick shortly after his return from Europe and the First World War. He apprenticed for a career in photography with Sacramento's McCurry Foto Company and served in the United States Army Signal Corps. While in France, he was gassed and severely burned. The Greco-Roman structure to the left is the D.O. Mills Bank building.
