Photograph of an exterior view of the nearly completed Los Angeles City Hall, 1926-1928. The large Classical building can be seen at center. It has a wide rectangular base and a rectangular tower rises from the middle. The top of the tower is tapered to a point. The building is light-colored and has many windows. Various construction equipment can be seen around the building and on the roof. Several low brick buildings are visible in the foreground. Legible signs include, from left to right: "Bank of Italy International Branch Savings Commercial Trust Interest paid on term deposits Safe Deposit Vaults", "Los Angeles Daily Journal Official Paper for City and County of Los Angeles", "Chrysler", and "El Capitan Hollywood Now Laff That Off with Dale Winter".
