Photograph article dated May 14, 1965 partially reads, "'If anyone is trying on a black and white striped dress with long sleeves, please bring it to the desk; it isn't for sale, it belongs to a customer.' This was the first lost-dress incident reported as the 10th annual Colleagues Glamour Sale got under way at the Santa Monica Auditorium. The Colleague members all wore pale blue smocks as they fitted through the big rooms lines with racks doing last-minute chores before the sale began. Co-chairmen Mmes. Harold Hoag and Charles Wick met with Mrs. Lewis Lohman and members which included Mmes. John Twist, James Barnett, Voltaire Perkins, Reese Milner, William Wilson, John Stillman, Homer Toberman, Clark Gable, Robert Meyler Jr., Wayne Dismore and members of their sister organization 'Les Amies' met in a last-minute huddle as the bargain-hungry patrons formed lines outside the door." Note: Valley Colleague Mrs. Robert Meyler Jr., Encino, chats with co-workers before sale.; See images #00116382 through #00116389 for all photos in this series.
