Robert Gair Co., Inc., purchased the Angelus Paper Box Co. in 1954 at a cost of $3,618,000. The Angelus Paper box Co. operated two plants, a main plant located at 6001 S. Eastern Avenue, and a smaller plant near 61st and Avalon Boulevard. After the purchase, the two units operated as Angelus Paperbox Co,, Division of the Robert Gair Co., Inc.
