By road to Hearst Ranch about 6 miles SE of McCloud. Old growth stand of Ponderosa pine type with diameters from 50" to 70". Site estimated between 175-200. Somewhat typical of eastside type of soil of lava origin. Small reproduction in brush. Assoc. sp.: Arctostaphylos patula, Ceanothus cordulatus, Purshia tridentata make dense understory. Siskiyou County
