Photograph caption dated August 26, 1961 reads "Jay Hoffman, 7, 6032 Varna Ave, left, and Don Ball, 8, 6254 Allott Ave., both of Van Nuys, are garbed in Indian fashion as members of the rangers' Red Feather Tribe. New Valley tribes will be formed this fall."
