Description
Mrs. Joseph Brown, Jr., as Queen Isabella of Spain, who sacrificed her jewels for Columbus' voyage of discovery. Mrs. Brown's family has been represented by five generations here. Her grandfather, Balcilio Valdez, came here direct from Spain in 1830. She appeared in the pageant of early California women given May 30, 1932, by the California Women of the Golden West.
