Description
Photograph article dated October 26, 1949 partially reads, "Display windows gaily decorated with green Tag posters invite the budget-wise shopper to visit San Fernando's J. C. Penney store for outstanding bargains Friday and Saturday. Each of the six departments in the large, well known store will feature regular goods at remarkable cuts in prices, according to A. T. Howard, manager. From the mezzanine floor to the downstairs store, green tags will indicate to the shopper the merchandise on sale." Photograph caption reads, "Wide selection - Racks of blouses are inspected for Tag Day sales event in Penney's, San Fernando, by Merna Childs and Bernice Feltenberger."
