Description
This was at first home built and owned by Dr. and Mrs. Fenyes at 251 S Orange Grove, Pasadena, CA. John Pugh and Sons were the contractors and builders. Dennis and Farwell were the architects of the house, considered Moorish style architecture. This house burned down in 1915.This photo shows a decorative French style interior of possibly the master bedroom. Mrs. Fenyes was an ardent admirer of Napoleon. The pillows at the center of the photo are embroidered with the Fenyes monogram. The window has elaborate window treatment that matches the bed canopy.
