Photograph of the construction of Jefferson Street Storm Drain Number Four on Union Street, looking south from Venice Boulevard, July 25, 1934. A large ditch is at center and is supported by a framework of wooden beams. Several men can be seen at the bottom of the ditch. Large piles of dirt line both sides of the trench, and more men can be seen shoveling the dirt at left. Massive segments of concrete pipe can be seen in the background at left. Many large trees are visible in the distance.
