Description
Title supplied by cataloger.
Rescue workers transport one of two men who were extracted from their vehicle at Firestone Boulevard near Graham Avenue when a bridge support for the new light rail line between downtown L.A. and Long Beach collapsed this morning. Both men were only slightly injured, after a girder fell onto the road. Firefighters used the "jaws of life" to free one victim trapped in the wreckage. Cause of the collapse is under investigation. Photograph dated March 29, 1989.
