Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the First National Bank building in Whittier, ca.1910. The building, which also served as Whittier's Masonic Temple, is pictured on a street corner at center, two stories tall and built of brick. The lower level is mainly large shop windows covered by striped awnings, with the entrances indicated by longer half-cylinders of awning which stretch over the sidewalk to the street's edge. Several small, individual awnings can be seen over the windows on the second story, and the word "Dentist" can be seen on one of the panes of glass. In the left background, a second, similar building can be seen, along with a parked horse-drawn carriage.
