Description: View of manicured grounds with a round pool, fountain, and ornamental lattice of the Sierra Madre Villa hotel in San Gabriel (now Sierra Madre, California). The lawn borders an orchard, a dirt path with irrigation trenches runs between rows of trees.
Title derived from Watkins New Series stereo #4830. Date devised by cataloger; Watkins made two trips to Southern California, in 1877 and 1880. Transcribed from back of photo: "Kinneola Mesa looking towards Hastings in front of Sierra Madre Villa."
