Image of an advertisement for Lucilline balm made by Lucent Oil Work of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; a woman in robes and a cape wearing a laurel wreath on the head sits and gazes upward raptly while holding paper and a quill pen on her lap.
Date supplied by cataloger based on similar item in collection (priJLC_ART_003059). Item originally owned by illustrator Curtis Wager-Smith (1870-1950). "H.I. Ireland Brill Philadelphia."--text, printer's logo with artist's signature, bottom right margin. "Produced from Crude Oil a Salve for Cuts, Wounds, Bruises, Burns, Scalds and Piles a Balm for Chapped Hands and Face, Tan, Freckles and Sunburn a Cure Unexcelled Ask for it and Stick to it"--text, center left of image. "Lucent Oil Works, Philadelphia."--text, bottom center margin.
