In the background, the skyline is dominated by large, multistory buildings with scores of rectangular windows. Many early automobiles can be seen on a paved road in the foreground. Utility poles are visible in several places throughout the image. Compares to USC-0-1-1-471, an image after the improvement. Legible signs include, from left, "Covey's U Drive", "Pacific Finance Building", and "Colonial Cafeteria".
