Photograph was edited for publication purposes
Photograph caption dated November 4, 1953 reads, "Holiday for strings - Waiting for their master's touch, the many strings of Dick Roberts surround him as he takes off on one of his own compositions on his banjo. The double-keyboard vibra-harp shown in the front of the picture was designed and made by Roberts in four months." Mr. Roberts' workshop is located in his backyard, at 10726 Landale St., North Hollywood.; See images #00138226 through #00138229 for all photos in this series.
