Photograph of the exterior of the Temple Block, downtown Los Angeles, from the south, Spring Street and Main Street, looking north from Market Street, ca.1890. The 2-story brick building situated on the corner houses numerous businesses and has awnings shading the storefronts on the ground floor. Other buildings are visible adjacent and behind. Horse-drawn carriages and pedestrians are on the sidewalk or on the dirt street down which runs streetcar rails. Legible signs include: "206, Anthony Schwann, 200, associate cut rate ticket broker, notary republic", "Books & stationery", "R.E.
