Governor Ronald Reagan, recently departed from office, gives the keynote address at the dedication of Seaver College on the new Malibu campus of Pepperdine University in 1975. Seated behind are Pepperdine officials and honored guests, including (L to R): Warren Kilday (natural science professor), Edward Teller (noted physicist), Howard White (executive vice president), James W. Fifield, Jr. (minister), Senator George Murphy, Richard Seaver (benefactor), and M. Norvel Young (Chancellor). The event took place on a specially-built stage in the Fouch Amphitheater overlooking Stauffer Chapel. Reagan spoke on the qualities of Frank R. Seaver and the value of independent colleges. complete;
