Description
T. & D. DeLuxe Theatre in San Jose, California also known as Theatre DeLuxe, renamed California and later Fox Mission in 1927. Theatre marquee reads 'Thomas H. Ince's Tribute to American Womanhood "Hail the Woman" Also Irving Cummings "Torchy". ' Photograph shows three females looking at a movie poster to the right of the ticket booth. The T & D Deluxe theatre was designed by William Binder and Ernest Curtis, opening circa 1912. The theatre was equipped for both movies and vaudeville; it had a balcony, and a rectangular proscenium flanked by Ionic pilasters.
