Description
Photograph caption dated November 16, 1948 reads, "Four youths, all 18 years old, are shown today as they were booked on suspicision of assault with a deadly weapon following a flare-up of juvenile gang warfare on the East Side in which one youth was critically wounded with a bullet in his back. Left to right, Humberto Chacon, Jesus Rodriguez, Gilbert Flores and Nicholas Delgado. Twelve teenagers in all were taken into custody." All were detained at the Hollenbeck Police Station.
