"Die Erstanlage der Station Rutenganyo 1894 Von Süden. Das Rungwe-Gebirge im Hintergrund." ("The first layout of the Rutenganio station 1894 from the South. The Rungwe mountains in the background."). Landscape with a couple of mud and stone houses and a storage house(?) on top of a wooden foundation. Imprinted on the image: "Rutenganio. Ostafrika. No. 275." ("Rutenganio. East Africa. No. 275.").
Parts of the photo are blotchy, possibly damaged by water (?).
