The Grant(?) building stands dominating much of the left side of the photo, advertising a number of things on its windows and marquees. More buildings can be seen behind it to the right. Legible signs include: "Gilbert Thayer's", "Health For 100 Years", "Free Health Lectures", "Natural Foods", "Bonton 357", "Cloaks / Suits", "Gimbels", "D. Antonell / Merchant Tailor", "E.A.
