Description
Federal Telephone & Radio Co. F-128A high-frequency, high-power three-electrode vacuum tube, used as a modulator, R.F. amplifier, and oscillator. This is a production tube circa 1929. James Lee may have produced these tubes while working as a glass blower at Federal's factory in Palo Alto, California, or it may have been made later, after 1930, at its new east coast factory. This tube was used in early broadcast and military communications equipment. Tube press designation: D.1.005/8
