Description
Photograph of an old survey map of Santa Catalina Island, ca.1920-1929. The seal of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is printed on the top right corner of the map. The names of the different spots on the island as well as latitude and longitude lines are handwritten on the map. A caption on the bottom left corner reads "An Old Survay [sic] Map, usefull [sic] for locating the smaller coves and beaches. Many places shown will be of interest to the boat owner who usually spends his time at Avalon or the isthmus. While there are a few hazards, we suggest you check your chart and stay off what few rocks there are."
