(RI). - Publiziert als Nr. 4 im Album 'Achtzig Ansichten von der Goldküste (Westafrika) nach Originalaufnahmen des Missionars Fritz Ramseyer', Neuenburg 1895. (RI). - Bildlegende im Album: "Unsere Werkstätten in Christiansborg. - In diesen Gebäuden (eine alte Faktorei) befinden sich die Werkstätten der Basler Mission. Es werden da seit vielen Jahren junge Neger zu Schlossern, Wagnern und Schreinern herangebildet, die auf der ganzen westafrikanischen Küste ihr Handwerk betreiben. Im Hintergrund sieht man ein Theil der Festung Christiansborg."

(TG). - Reproduction of a photographic print. - On the lower edge of the image a caption can be read: "House lived in by the craftsman Jerrurier in Christiansborg. Fritz also lived here for a year in 1864." (RI). - Published as no 4 in the album 'Achtzig Ansichten von der Goldküste (Westafrika) nach Originalaufnahmen des Missionars Fritz Ramseyer', Neuchâtel 1895. (RI). - Caption there: "Our workshops in Christiansborg. The workshops of the Basel Mission are in these buildings, which were formerly a trading post. For many years now young Africans have been trained here as locksmiths, coach-builders and cabinet-makers. You find them now along the whole West African coast. In the background part of Christiansborg Castle is visible." - The French version of this Album speaks of "forgerons, charrons et menuisiers ... qui font honneur à la Mission bâlois sur toute la côte occidentale".
