Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated June 19, 1963 partially reads, "Two screen personalities, actor Charlton Heston and actress Ruth Warrick, joined forces Tuesday in an off-screen drama. They were among 60 persons at City Hall who opposed plans for a $25 million high-rise apartment and private golf course development in the Santa Monica Mountains. Heston, 2859 Coldwater Canyon Dr., told City Zoning Administrator Huber Smutz that he has spent most of his adult life in apartments, but he recently moved into his own home to get peace and privacy. 'This project will destroy that,' he said. 'It will also mean that my son won't be able to run through green hills and enjoy the beauty of the hillsides.'"
