Description
The Valley to Vietnam series, produced by Sacramento Public Library, traces the arc of experience of Vietnam era veterans living in the Sacramento, California area. As the quintessential California kid, Bart Ghormley enjoyed a sunny upbringing in Redlands, California. However, with the advent of the Vietnam War, an aptitude for medicine and science led him into the Air Force and meaningful stint as a medic at Cam Ranh Bay.
