Description
In the earlier part of the previous century the Sutter, Yuba, and southern Butte county areas north of Sacramento were labeled the "Peach Bowl of the World" for its production of over half of the canning peaches in California. In 1928 Sutter County had over 20,000 acres of peaches, while neighboring Yuba grew about 5,000 acres of the popular fruit.
