The Americanism Educational League was founded in 1927 and is dedicated to educating and informing citizens and students about the liberties and responsibilities that are the "birthright" of Americans. The organization encourages young people to learn about and explore American history and values by providing educational programs and seminars, and through its many scholarships and awards.
Photograph caption dated May 27, 1965 reads, "The Americanism Educational League presented distinguished service medals to Russell Quisenberry, chairman of the board of Great Western Publishing Co., and Dr. John Lechner.
