"Farm friends, identified by Betty (Jones) Novak: Left to right, 1. Flavia Jones (Fred's wife), 2. Mary Sweeney (lived here, moved to Freeport), 3. Albert White (farmer during depression, gave up), 4. Ethyl (his wife), 5. Zue Owens (neighbor, wife of Max), 6. Lylse Spangler (worked for Reclamation District 1000, layed out irrigation in Natomas, quit, went to Sutter County to farm wheat), 7. Vern Chapman. Left to right lower: 1. Albert J. Sweeney (husband of Mary, went to Freeport to live, lived in Hack House there), 2. Fred Jones, 3. Margaret Sperry Spangler (wife of Lysle (up a bit)), 4. Max (=Chauncey Maxmillian Owens, Zoe's husband), 5. John chapman (foreman for C.W. Jones, C.W. was grandfather of Betty (Jones) Novak, father of Fred).
