Description
Sticker proclaims, removed from "Historii des Voyage Atlas." N. Bellin. See catalogue reference to this work under "Bellin." This map, dated 1748, has New Zealand as two islands but Alaska shows as I. Unamak similar to the Von Staehlin map, indicating publication between 1773 and 1776. Cartouche: elaborate entwined. Prime meridian: Ferro, Paris. Relief: pictorial. Projection: Mercator. Printing Process: Copper engraving.
