Description
Photograph of Johnny Mathis performing "Shadows on My Heart" by Richard Vartanian (Mathis's first live recorded singing performance) for the annual San Francisco State College student revue directed by Jules Irving (1925-1979) called Kampus Kapers in 1955. Also on the stage is Marianne Peterson as The Girl and Patty Wright as Her Shadow; not seen in this images are additional dancers: Kiane Chiljan, Janie Jackson, Jo Hutton, Marian Nicholas, Clyde Quenn, Joan Ryan, Mary Lascamana, Ruby Bristo, and Josephine Regis.
