Photo--black and white: J. W. Arnold, about 1930s under his famous 40 year old Gravenstein apple tree. This tree produced 120 boxes of apples a year. Originally planted on the farm of Mel Kauffman, the ranch at the time of this photo belonged to Mr. Arnold and was known at the Arnold Ranch.
