Text printed under photo: "Note-The Lick House is now under the management of William F. Harrison, Esq., a gentleman widely known, and who fully understands the wants of his guests.-The large clothing store of C.C. Hastings & Co. occupies the corner of the block.-H. Siering & Co., dealers in Fancy Goods, Zephyr Worsted, etc., occupy No. 19, also 107 and 109 Sutter Street.-The celebrated Pioneer Hatter, Fisher, known all over the Pacific Coast, occupies No. 9. He has the largest trade in this city.-A. Baumgarten, importer and dealer in Fine Cloths, Woolens, and Tailors' Trimmings, are located No. 7 in this Block. They are well known and do a very large business.-Schafer & Co., who enjoy the reputation of being dealers in first-class and the latest styles of Boys', Youths' and Men's Clothing, having a very extensive manufactory, occupy the store No. 11, in this Block.-All these Firms have long been established and are favorably known."
