Description: A water well on Rancho de los Palos Verdes (present-day Palos Verdes Peninsula and parts of San Pedro and Torrance, California). A water tank and windmill can be seen in the distance, on the right.

Date range approximated by cataloger based on the year that film negatives came into use and the latest known dates indicated for other Hazard images in the Huntington's collection. Condition note: White "flaring" seen on the edge of this digital image is present in the original negative. A print of this image appears in the Huntington Library's Verne Dyson Collection (mssHM 26404) p. 164 (Box 3) with the caption: "Los Palos Verdes. Rancho scenes. An Ancient Well on Rancho Palos Verdes."
