Description
The Valley to Vietnam series, produced by Sacramento Public Library, traces the arc of experience of Vietnam era veterans living in the Sacramento, California area. Chicago-native Robert Pacholik, after a short stint at Illinois State University, finds himself fast-tracked into the military, where jump school and photography led the way to Vietnam. Stints with the Ninth Infantry Division, the 101st Airborne (A Shau Valley and Hamburger Hill), and the Fifth Special Forces (Ho Chi Minh Trail) highlighted his time in country.
