Description
A photograph of a stretch of Third Street circa 1960. To the far right of the photograph is the Wing Lee Company Meat Market.
Wing Lee Company Meat Market opened at this location between 1909 and 1913, when they made expansions to the building. Wing Lee, also known as Jan Wai, founded the shop and ran it with his son David until his death in 1932. Wing Lee Company relocated to West Sacramento in 1963, shortly before the Sacramento Redevelopment Agency destroyed these buildings to make way for Interstate 5.
