Description: California Highway Patrol begins holiday traffic checks on December 22, 1965, on the Sunset Strip at Sunset Blvd. and Sunset Plaza in West Hollywood. Checks for drunk drivers, mechanical defects and other violations were to continue through January 1 at various locations in the Southern California area.
