View of men and women in Mexican and Spanish costumes dancing and playing music on lawn west of Sutter's Fort as part of the Sacramento Golden Empire Centennial in 1939. Several people are wearing sombreros, and a guitar and a violin are among the instruments played. St. Francis of Assisi Church is seen in background. Photograph was taken March 19, 1939. McCurry no. 35294-4.
