The Belmont Theater has since been demolished.; The Palomar burned down a little over two years before this photograph was taken.
Looking north across the intersection of Vermont Avenue (foreground) and 3rd Street, where a woman is crossing the street. Seen are a glimpse of the mountains, the Belmont Theatre sign and a Foster and Kleiser billboard advertising Chevrolet cars (in front of the former site of the Palomar). Photograph dated October 15, 1941.
