Description: This opulent entrance to the Herman Davis and Sons optometrists at 1014 K Street was captured on June 4, 1931. The firm occupied this spot from 1924 to 1946 before moving to 1225 L Street. Davis, a native of England, started his Sacramento business in 1909 at the corner of Sixth and J Streets.
