Automobiles, horse-drawn carriages and streetcars make their way along a paved street, two nearly identical high rise buildings flanking it to either side in the foreground. Two women make their way across the intersection at center. More high rise buildings can be seen stretching off into the distance advertising with signs affixed to their sides. Legible signs include: "Smoke El Tem[...]", "Hotel", "Express/ Where Everyman Goes", "Meat Market", "S. Lewis Ladies' Tailor", "Mitchell's Chiropra[...]", "A. Greene & Son", as well as a sign on one of the streetcars which reads "Stevenson Ave.".
