Description
Eldridge and King streets with Mt. Tamalpais in background. Writing on back of the photograph reads, "I believe this was taken about 1906 from left of lane cutting from Eldridge down to King Street by Charlie Bunker place where Nehers lives now (c. date photo donated). Home on right is my (donator's) mother and father's place which burned in 1943. To left and above of that you see Abby Hotel guest rooms - 2 buildings of that Abby Hotel - 1 the dining room. Yellowish looking roof top near center I believe Miss Murphy's place. I use to see her and her mother regularly. I believe she and Miss Howe of Abby Hotel were cousins. Yellow spot right of center, down 1/3 is a section of King Street, above the curve where Colby's (?) built - now Ritters, left of Murphy's I think Vaughn - then Coffins-Hicks."
