Description
In the 3500 East Colorado Boulevard block, where Colorado meets Lotus Avenue, a female pedestrians crosses the street, heading north. The image is blurry, as taken by the photographer. Entering the intersection are several 1940s-era automobiles. Commercial establishments are seen in the background including a beaty salon at 3575 East Colorado Boulevard. According to the 1947 Pasadena City Directory, the salon was owned by Mrs. Varyne Pegler who resided at 1755 North Craig Avenue. Documentation provided by the photographer indicates these photos were taken for Pasadena Press located at 95 North Raymond Avenue. We believe the image in this shot is right across the street from the image seen in pmh_JAH1447n1.
