An album of 36 photographs made during the Arctic voyage of the USRC Thomas Corwin in 1881, and possibly 1883. Views include Inuit villages, homes and inhabitants in Alaska (Fort Wrangell, Sitka, St. Michael, and King's Island) and coastal Siberia; harbors and scenery; a Greek church interior; fur traders and seal hunting; and portraits taken aboard ship. The album's cover is embossed "1883," but the manuscript title page indicates the photographs are from 1881. Title created by cataloguer. Alt title from manuscript title page.
