Letter from Shigeno Kuriyama to Kuni Fuchita. She appreciates a gift from Kuni Fuchita and laments shortage of goods and high inflation in post-war Japan, providing examples of high prices of food and other necessities through a black market. The Akamine and Fuchita Family Papers include letters, certificates, photographs, scrapbooks, high school yearbooks, and other materials related to the Akamine, Fuchita, and Yasumura families. Subjects in the collection include the Manzanar and Rohwer incarceration camps, Koyasan Buddhist Temple, Buddhism, World War II, and Japanese American families, and other topics.
